Description :
3-Methylpyrrolidine is a structural chiral compound that can be synthesized from 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolium chloride and ammonia. This chemical has been found to have pheromone activity in both male and female rats. It is also toxic to animals at high doses and produces an anhydride with the hydrochloride of ethyl cyanoacetate. The enantiomeric purity of this compound can be determined using gas chromatography.
