2-Methyl phenylhydrazineHydrochloride is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of sodium salts. It is used for the treatment of pain and inflammation, including arthritis and muscle pain. 2-Methyl phenylhydrazineHydrochloride is converted in the body into a number of metabolites, including acid derivatives of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These metabolites are thought to be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effect. 2-Methyl phenylhydrazineHydrochloride also has UV absorption properties and can be used in pharmaceutical preparations as a hydrogen bond donor or acceptor.
