Description :
6-Methoxy-2-phenyl-tetralone is an efficient tetralone that can be prepared through the reaction of chlorobenzene with nafoxidine. This compound has been shown to be a useful catalyst for synthetic reactions, including the reduction of arylbromides. 6MHT may also have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
