6-Methoxy-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine is an inhibitor of aspartyl proteases. It has shown to inhibit the activity of a number of human aspartyl proteases, including cathepsin D, cathepsin L, and cathepsin B. 6-Methoxy-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridine has been shown to have potency against cathepsin D and has been used in structure based drug design for the development of inhibitors with improved potency and reduced side effects.
