Description

Myricetin-3-galactoside is a flavonoid that has been shown to have antioxidant properties. It also has cell-lysing and anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of epidermal growth factor. Myricetin-3-galactoside can also act as an inhibitor of p21, a protein that regulates the process of cell division. The compound has been shown to be effective in vitro against human colon cancer cells and platinum resistant ovarian cancer cells. This product has been shown to reduce the adverse effects associated with platinum-based chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery in animal models.
