6-Methoxynaphthalene-2-boronic acid is a chromophore that is used in the synthesis of diazo compounds, which are intermediates for the production of aniline. It can also be used to produce biphenyls and other aromatic hydrocarbons. 6-Methoxynaphthalene-2-boronic acid has been shown to have a number of biological activities, including receptor binding and inhibition of angiogenesis.
