Description

6-Methoxypyridine-2-boronic acid is a boronate ligand that can be used to form coordination complexes with metals. It has been shown to interact with silver ions, which are the most effective ligands for enhancing the fluorescence of organic dyes. 6-Methoxypyridine-2-boronic acid is able to rigidify organic molecules by binding to their steric and electronic properties, making them more resistant to photodegradation. This property makes it an excellent candidate for the use in the development of fluorescent labels in analytical chemistry.
