3-Methacrylamidophenylboronic acid is a fluorescent derivative of dopamine that can be used to detect the presence of dopamine in urine. It has been used as an analytical marker for the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease and other degenerative diseases. This fluorescent probe is chemically stable and can be used with various detection methods, including electrochemical detection. In addition, 3-Methacrylamidophenylboronic acid is also useful for monitoring glucose levels in diabetic patients. The sample preparation time is short and it can be detected using a simple on-line electrochemical detector.
