Description

5-Methyl-4-phenyl-2H-pyrazol-3-amine is a crystalline, diazotized heterocyclic compound that has been shown to have nootropic, neuroleptic, and antiinflammatory activities. It is also a potent agonist of the corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) receptor. 5-Methyl-4-phenyl-2H-pyrazol-3-amine has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA and RNA in bacteria and fungi. This drug also inhibits the production of prostaglandin E 2 , which may be due to its ability to reduce the activity of cyclooxygenase.
