Description

Methyl phenyl carbonate is a reactive intermediate that belongs to the group of phenyl compounds. It is formed by the reaction between methyl phenyl and carbonate. Methyl phenyl carbonate can be detected using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). This technique has been used to identify the reaction mechanism, which involves intramolecular hydrogen transfer from methyl phenyl to trifluoroacetic acid.
