Description :
Methyl 2,2-dichloro-2-methoxyacetate is a silicone with the chemical formula CH3ClO(CH2)2COOC(CH3)3. It is also known as monomethyl chlorosilane. This compound is an intermediate in the synthesis of other silicone compounds and it is used in the production of silicone resins, which are used to coat metals and plastics. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of heart diseases caused by radiation or triazine exposure. Methyl 2,2-dichloro-2-methoxyacetate has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma.
