Marque:Biosynth
Description :Methyl 4-chloropicolinate is a possible drug candidate that exhibits significant inhibitory activity against the growth of human cervical carcinoma cells. It has been shown to have a dipole moment and to form hydrogen bonds with amines in cancer cells. Methyl 4-chloropicolinate inhibits the growth of cancer cells by interacting with their DNA, which leads to an inhibition of the synthesis of RNA and protein. The compound was also found to inhibit the growth of HCT116 colon cancer cells in vitro, as well as other tumor cell lines. It has been suggested that methyl 4-chloropicolinate may be more effective than sorafenib (an inhibitor of mammalian target of rapamycin) because it does not have any effect on healthy tissues.
