This reaction is shown by the change in morphology from crystallised to amorphous and by increased turbidity due to precipitation of the protein. 3-Methyl-4-nitrobenzeneamine has been synthesised for use in molecular response studies and can be oriented for peptide mass fingerprinting. This chemical compound reacts with amines, such as tryptic, producing nitrosamines.
