Description

5-Methyl-L-norleucine is an amide that is a natriuretic and has been shown to have physiological activities. It has been shown to have restenosis and tumor treatment properties, as well as antimicrobial resistance. 5-Methyl-L-norleucine also acts as a cyclic peptide, which may be due to its disulfide bond. This compound is not only effective in treating microbial infections, but it also has anti-inflammatory properties. 5-Methyl-L-norleucine is found in the genus of plants called "Acorus," so it can be used for plant physiology research.
