Description :
3-Methyl-5-phenylisoxazole is a ligand that binds to the metal and forms a stable n-oxide. It has been shown to have nematode killing activity and to be an effective nematicide. 3-Methyl-5-phenylisoxazole is also used in the synthesis of other compounds, such as isothiazole and perchlorates. 3-Methyl-5-phenylisoxazole is a precursor for the synthesis of halides, perchlorates, and carbofuran. The nature of this compound is not known.
