Informations sur le produit
- Methyl 4-methylphenylsulfoxide
1-Methyl-4-(methylsulphinyl)benzene is a sulfoxide that is produced in wastewater treatment plants. It has been shown to be toxic to humans, causing liver damage and changes in the central nervous system. 1-Methyl-4-(methylsulphinyl)benzene is also a stereoselective chemical that is used for the synthesis of enantiopure molecules with one chiral center. Its toxicity may be due to its ability to cause oxidative stress and increase lipid peroxidation, which leads to cell death. The kinetics of 1-methyl-4-(methylsulphinyl)benzene oxidation products can be determined using linear regression analysis.
