Description :
5-Methyl-2-phenethyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHNO. It is used as an analytical reagent in electrochemical research of organic compounds and their intermediates. The compound has been used to detect 4-aminoantipyrine and 4-chlorophenol in the presence of oxidising agents. It also reacts with antipyrine, which produces a yellow color.
