Description :Methyl homoveratrate is a synthetic compound that belongs to the group of anticancer agents. Methyl homoveratrate inhibits the topoisomerase II enzyme, which is involved in DNA replication and transcription. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells in cell culture and animal experiments. Methyl homoveratrate is also able to induce apoptosis by inhibiting fatty acid synthase, which contributes to its anti-cancer activity.
