• Description: Mercury(II) nitrate monohydrate (HgNO3·H2O) is a salt that is used in the synthesis of other mercury compounds. Monoclonal antibodies against human serum proteins can be prepared from HgNO3·H2O-treated mouse ascites fluid, which are then used for immunological detection of picolinic acid in human serum.
