6-Maleimidohexanoic acid hydrazide TFA salt is a conjugate of 6-maleimidohexanoic acid and hydrazide. It is a cross-linking agent that can be used to form covalent bonds with amino acids or proteins, such as those found in mammalian cells. This molecule has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells, by targeting the growth factors that are responsible for cell division. The bioactive molecules in saponin have also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful in treating arthritis.
