• Description: 2-N-Morpholinoethanesulfonic acid potassium salt (MES) is a detergent additive that is added to animal feed to improve the availability of fatty acids and other lipids. MES has been shown to increase the production of diacylglycerols and fatty acids in animals. Diagnostic assays have been developed using MES that detect the presence of transgenic animals, including those with cancerous cells, as well as those with developmental disorders.
