Description :
6-Mercaptopurine hydrochloride is an analog of 6-mercaptopurine that has a deuterium atom in the place of a hydrogen atom. It is a thione containing an interlinked, tetrahydro-N-methyl pyrrole ring system and has a molecular weight of 292.6 g/mol. 6-Mercaptopurine hydrochloride is an inhibitor of purine metabolism and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent for the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, and other cancers.
