Description

4-Methoxybenzaldehyde oxime is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of the COX-2 enzyme. It has been shown to be effective in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease and colitis. 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde oxime has also been shown to have an isolated yield from a phosphotungstic acid (PTA) extract, which is a byproduct of the production of other chemicals. 4-Methoxybenzaldehyde oxime is active against inflammatory diseases in animal models, but it has not yet been tested on humans.
