Methyl-6-hydroxymethyl-2-carboxylate pyridine is a glycoside that has been used as an acceptor in the synthesis of various glycosides. This compound is a high yield acceptor, with a reaction time of 3 to 4 hours. Methyl-6-hydroxymethyl-2-carboxylate pyridine reacts with alcohols and glycosides to form glycosyl compounds with high yields.
