(R)-(-)-2-Methoxy-2-(1-naphthyl)propionic Acid is a chiral reagent that is used as an analytical standard in the synthesis of amines. It has been shown to be enantiopure (>98% ee) and can be used for the analysis of amines, such as racemic mandelic acid, with high selectivity. This compound is also a good solvating agent for the separation of other racemic mixtures.
