• Description: (S)-(-)-2-Methyl-1-butanol is a synthetic organic acid that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of bacterial infections. This compound has a terminal alkene and an acetyl group on the butanol moiety. It has been used to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
