Description :
1-(2-Mesitylene)-1,3-butanedione is a diode that emits light when excited. When used in LEDs, it has a quantum yield of up to 80%. It is an ancillary material for phosphorescent emitters, which are more efficient and have lower operating voltage than fluorescent emitters. In addition, 1-(2-Mesitylene)-1,3-butanedione has a tailored design that allows it to be optimized for specific applications such as solid-state lighting. The efficiency of the diode is low due to its inability to generate light using only one photon.
