Description :
4-Methyl-1,3,2-dioxathiolane 2-oxide is an alkynyl pyrimidine compound. It has a structural formula of C6H4N3O2. 4-Methyl-1,3,2-dioxathiolane 2-oxide reacts with lithium to produce ethylene diamine and nitrogen atoms. The reaction products are then reacted with methyl ethyl carbonate in the presence of high salt and a carbonate electrolyte to form vinylene. The properties of 4-methyl-1,3,2-dioxathiolane 2-oxide can be measured using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy on an aliphatic hydrocarbon.
