Description :
1-(Methoxymethyl)-1H-benzotriazole is a carbanion and β-unsaturated aldehyde that is used as an additive to improve the performance of triazoles. 1-(Methoxymethyl)-1H-benzotriazole has been shown to be a good absorption agent for rhenium. It can also be used as an acceptor or donor in supramolecular chemistry, depending on its environment. The cyclic voltammetry of 1-(Methoxymethyl)-1H-benzotriazole shows reversible oxidation and reduction peaks, with the first peak at 0.8 V and the second peak at -0.2 V. Multilayer films of 1-(Methoxymethyl)-1H-benzotriazole are also possible due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with water and other molecules.
