Description

Monofluoroacetylglycine is a biosensor that can be used to detect toxicants in the environment. It is an aptasensor and utilizes monoclonal antibodies as the recognition element. Monofluoroacetylglycine has been shown to be effective against a wide variety of pesticides and other toxicants, including those that are resistant to traditional detection methods. Monofluoroacetylglycine has been shown to have low detection limits and can be integrated with other analytical techniques, such as gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), for improved sensitivity. The sensor is also highly selective, with a single-stranded DNA affinity that allows for dynamic signal generation in real time.
