Description

4-Nitrophenyl trifluoroacetate is an activated ester that reacts with nucleophiles via a nucleophilic substitution reaction. It has been shown to react with deuterium isotope effect and form a palladium complex. The kinetic study of this reaction showed that the rate of the reaction depended on the concentration of the reactants and was proportional to the concentration of proton in solution. This activated compound can be used for sample preparation in organic chemistry. It also reacts with amines, hydration, and carbonyl groups.
