Informations sur le produit
5-Nitrobenzo[d]oxazole-2(3H)-thione is an antimicrobial agent that has been used to screen for new synthetic molecules with antimicrobial activity. It is a synthetic molecule that binds to the ATPase of the enzyme's active site and inhibits its ability to hydrolyze ATP, thereby preventing bacterial growth. 5-Nitrobenzo[d]oxazole-2(3H)-thione also inhibits the translocation of anthelmintic drugs across the intestinal wall, which may be due to its hydrogen-bonding properties. The mechanism by which this drug exerts its effect on anthelmintic drugs is not yet known.
