Description :
Naphthol Red 2R is a red aromatic compound that is used as an indicator in analytical chemistry. This dye reacts with alkaline solutions to produce a blue color and can be used to determine the pH of a solution. Naphthol Red 2R has two tautomeric forms, one of which is the hydrazone form. The hydrogen-bonding interactions between molecules are intramolecular in the hydrazone form but intermolecular in the other tautomeric form.
