Description :
Naltriben mesylate is a pharmacological agent that has been shown to inhibit the binding of δ-opioid receptor agonists to their receptors, and thus blocks the effects of these drugs. It also inhibits the production of δ-opioid receptor heteromers, which are complexes consisting of a δ-opioid receptor and a kappa-opioid receptor. Naltriben mesylate is being studied for its use in the treatment of bone cancer. In addition, Naltriben mesylate has been shown to block the binding of δ-opioid receptor agonists to their receptors in functional assays, as well as in studies using electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ESI QToF).
