Description :Nandrolone d3 is a synthetic anabolic steroid that was originally developed as a male contraceptive. It is also used in the treatment of breast cancer and other conditions. Nandrolone d3 is a prodrug that is converted to nandrolone by hydrolysis, most often in the liver. It has low affinity for sex hormone receptors and does not stimulate the production of estradiol. Nandrolone d3 binds to the estrogen receptor but has no estrogenic activity. The drug's mechanism of action may be related to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of proteins such as RNA polymerase II and DNA polymerase I, which are involved in gene transcription. This drug can be detected by chromatography, mass spectrometry, or gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). It can also be measured with an estradiol assay or by radioimmunoassay (RIA).
