Description :
Nefopam N-oxide is a metabolite of nefopam, which is an opioid analgesic drug that blocks the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine. It has been shown to inhibit sodium channels and block postsynaptic potentials in neurons. Nefopam N-oxide has been studied in clinical trials for the treatment of neuropathic pain, such as postoperative pain, and to potentiate morphine analgesia.
