• Description: N-Nitroso nipecotic acid is a nitrosamine that is formed in the body by the reaction of nitrite with secondary amines. It has been shown to induce tumours in hamsters and mice when it is administered orally. Nitrosamines are also found in urine samples of individuals who have cancer, and they may be an indicator of the risk of developing cancer.
