Description

DL-Normetazocine is a narcotic analgesic drug that is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. It belongs to the class of pentazocine drugs. DL-Normetazocine has been shown to be effective in the treatment of muscle spasms and pain, as well as providing relief from pain during menstruation. This drug also has an effect on the central nervous system, which may be due to its ability to inhibit serotonin reuptake and increase dopamine levels in the brain. DL-Normetazocine can be detected by chromatographic methods and is converted into metabolites such as phenolic compounds through biotransformation processes. It can also be detected using fluorescence spectroscopy at high concentrations.
