Nickel bis(dimethyldithiocarbamate) has been shown to be effective against subtilis, a mutant strain of subtilis that is resistant to many antibiotics. Nickel bis(dimethyldithiocarbamate) also has an effect on nicotinic acetylcholine receptor-mediated transmission in acarids.
