• Description: Benzoyl-L-tryptophan is a cyclic peptide that has been shown to have protein synthesis and conditioning effects. Benzoyl-L-tryptophan is also a precursor for the synthesis of sulfoxide, which is an organic solvent with anti-inflammatory properties that can be used in the treatment of thrombocytopenia. Benzoyl-L-tryptophan is synthesized from L-tryptophan by enzymatic cyclization with benzoyl chloride.
