6-Nitro-pyridin-2-ylamine is a molecule that belongs to the class of analogs. It has been shown to be taken up by cells and tissues in vivo. 6-Nitro-pyridin-2-ylamine has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in cell culture and to induce acetylation of proteins. Kinetic studies have shown that nitro groups can act as acceptor sites for amines, where an electron is transferred from one molecule to another.
