Description

5-Nitroisophthalic acid is a chemical pesticide that is used to control the growth of fungi, bacteria and weeds. It is synthesized by reacting sodium carbonate with nitric acid. 5-Nitroisophthalic acid can be used as an intermediate in the production of copper complexes, which are used as herbicides or fungicides.
