• Description: All-cis-6,9,12,15-octadecatetraenoic acid is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is found in the form of stearidonic acid and can be derived from plants such as flaxseed or soybeans. All-cis-6,9,12,15-octadecatetraenoic acid has been shown to inhibit the production of chemoattractant protein (MCP) in 3T3L1 preadipocytes by blocking the synthesis of arachidonic acid. This compound also inhibits the proliferation of MDA-MB 231 breast cancer cells and induces cell death via apoptosis.
