Description :Octadecylimidazoline is a skin-penetrating cationic surfactant that has been found to be an effective enhancer of the penetration of hydrophobic drugs across the skin. This compound is an amine with a long alkyl chain, which may contribute to its ability to penetrate the skin. Octadecylimidazoline has shown minimal irritation and cytotoxicity in animal studies and is able to increase drug penetration into human skin.
