• Description: Oxazepam acetate is a chiral drug that has enantiomeric forms. Oxazepam acetate is converted to the corresponding lorazepam by hydrolysis of the acetate ester group. This drug is an analytical method for determining the concentration of oxazepam in human serum and rat liver microsomes. It also has a stereoselective effect on nucleophilic attack, which means it only reacts with one of two possible sites in the molecule. Oxazepam acetate can be used to treat insomnia, anxiety, and seizure disorders.
