Description :
Oxiracetam is a racemic mixture of the enantiomers S-(-)- and R-(+)-oxiracetam. It is an ester hydrochloride that is soluble in water, alcohol, and chloroform. Oxiracetam has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in animal studies and to improve fluidity of brain tissue. This drug also improves learning and memory processes in animals. The introduction of oxiracetam into pharmaceutical preparations is under study. Impurities found in oxiracetam include particle size, plasma samples, methanol extraction, flow rate, liquid chromatography method for the pharmacokinetic study, and pharmacokinetic study. Nootropic drugs are drugs that improve cognitive function or mental performance; oxiracetam is one such drug.
