• Description: 10-Oxo docetaxel is a taxane that is used in the treatment of cancer. It has shown to be effective in the treatment of breast, lung, prostate, and bladder cancers. The impurities of this drug are 10-deacetylbaccatin III (10-DAB) and 10-deacetyltaxol (10-DT). These impurities can be quantified using LC/MS/MS methods with a limit of detection at 0.05% for 10-DAB and 0.1% for 10-DT. The limits of quantification are determined by the peak area response and signal to noise ratio.
