Description :
1,2,5-Oxadiazole-3-carboxylic acid is an organic compound that belongs to the group of amidrazones. It is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of 50°C. The compound has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of aminofurazans. 1,2,5-Oxadiazole-3-carboxylic acid is also used as an efficient method for the oxidative cyclization of monosubstituted olefins, including ethyl acrylate and allyl alcohol. Oxidative cyclization can be carried out using sodium bicarbonate as a catalyst and lead to the formation of oxadiazoles.
