Description :
7-Oxo Bexarotene is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. It is a transactivator that binds to retinoic acid receptors, which are involved in the transcriptional regulation of genes. 7-Oxo Bexarotene also inhibits the production of certain cytokines and chemokines, such as IL-8, that are believed to play an important role in tumor progression. The drug has minimal activity against docetaxel-resistant cells and has not shown any toxicities to date.
