Description

N-Phenylbistrifluoromethanesulfonimide (NPBF) is a nitro compound that has been synthesized in an asymmetric synthesis. The chemical stability of NPBF is advantageous for the preparation of fluorescence probes. It has been used to study the structure and function of proteins, such as dopamine receptors, which are important in autoimmune diseases and metabolic disorders. A x-ray diffraction data study of NPBF was performed on tissue culture cells with human serum. This compound has shown a high affinity for Jak2 V617F mutants and organic chemists have investigated its use as a palladium-catalyzed coupling agent.
